Summer Guest

How has your summer been so far? We went to San Diego for a weeks, the weather there was great. Cloudy and slowly warmed up during the day. We came back and found a guest! At first my husband thought it was a wasp's nest and was going to knock it down, till he took a closer look! It's actually a hummingbird nest! She built it on a nail, and an old piece of tape!
We named her Barbie!
This weekend will be about two weeks since we noticed the nest. I looked online and it said eggs can take 2-3 weeks to hatch. SO, we will see. My son wants to name one of the babies Frank! lol... Try to stay cool! ~Celina

It is a Pachinko machine. I had no idea. I never played with one before, and it was also only $5.00 What a deal!

Whiney Wednesday!

Everything is not always rainbows and lollipops! So today I am going to whine a bit! 1--Right now I don't feel like selling overseas. I sold a toy in February for $61.00, it cost me $7, and went all the way to Italy. Well, supposedly it never arrived. Two weeks after shipment, the buyer opened a case saying it never arrived. Paypal sided with the buyer and I lost my money! :( I see on other blogs how you can ship internationally with delivery confirmation, well my post office says no, no, no you can't! That's so weird post office, when I see it on other blogs! grrr.... The buyer left me positive feedback, a few weeks later, and I wonder why. Was it becausee they realized they overbid, and really didn't want to pay $61.00, and did receive it? or....because they got their money back and didn't receive it? 2--I found a pat pat rocket the other day at the thrift store, but it was missing the lid, with no figures. I bought it anyways, it was a $1.00. Hope to still make a few bucks. 3--My oldest son is still sick, I got a call from the school Monday saying he wasnt feeling well. He gets horrible migraines, ever since he was 3. 4--My daughter doesn't like Choco Tacos? What? lol...She said they are to squishy!
5--Their are a lot of cricket sounds for me on ebay auctions right now! Just sold enough to pay my fees. 6--I hope my husband wants to go the garden show this weekend. It really is fun and some places are so beautiful. We went last year but this year a few more houses have been added. That's it for now! Any one else have anything to whine about? Have a good day!

Gladys Austin

This is one of my favorites, Peggy Sue! A lovely peach color and she is a rebloomer so she also blooms in the fall!

Sweet Vintage Finds

Hope your Easter holiday was joyous, and you are enjoying your spring season. Weather here in Southern CA is so crazy. It's been hot the past few days and supposedly its suppose to rain tomorrow and part of this weekend.

Here are two treasures I found:

These sweet bunnies just in time for Easter!

Here is my favorite find! I loved Wonder Woman as a kid, so imagine my eyeballs popping out of my head when I found this cake pan set for only a $1.00, with the box. The box is supper worn but I don't care!

It even came with the plastic face!

I still think Wonder Woman rocks! Have a great day and check out these parties I'm partying at!

Consignment sale Finds

I found quite a few good items at the consignment sale.

Backyardigans plush lot (completed listings on ebay)

Little Einsteins talking Annie Doll (completed lsitings)

Handy Manny Toolbox (completed listings)

A Spongebob lego set new in box, leapster games NEW! Toy Story figures, Olivia Plush, and a Dora Magical Castle. The castle was only $10.00 with accesories. I think I'm going to flip it at the next sale in a few weeks. Everything else I purchased was $5.00 or under.

On discount day, I found some geotracks, for $5.00, some more leapster games for $3.00, clothes for little sweetpea, and a few toys for my classroom. I am glad I made more money than I spent, which is always fun!

Have a good day!

Yard Sale Finds

Last weekends High School rummage sale was a bust! Found a few books but that was it! Stopped at another rummage sale and found this Racing jacket.

We went to Mr. Goodjunks sisters house in the OC and stopped at a little thrift store. I found these items plus about 10 pieces of clothing. I took my items up to the counter and the lady said $7.00 for everything!
Woo-hoo! I should make my money back just by selling the Bumbo chair or the baby activity toy that are now sitting at a consignment sale along with the clothes I found.
Some of those clothes already sold too! Yesterday, consignors and volunteers got to shop early. Today it is open to the public until Friday.
I hope to get some pics of my finds up.

Have a good day! Happy treasures to you.

Estate Sale Finds

Went out this fine day, with a light light drizzle, if you can even call it a drizzle. A big storm is suppose to be coming my way in Southern California but nothing yet!
I found some great finds:
Sweet Yellow Pyrex Bowl

Some new slippers and Southern Pacific Trains

10 of these vintage bingo cards, with slider tabs

Vintage Pillowcases

Can someone tell me what this is? I thought it would be good to hold pictures.

This sweet little table

Here is the best part! My total should have been around $35.00. The trains alone were marked $3 each, the bowl was $5, the table was $2, but when I brought everything to the lady up front, she said....Oh, everything for $12.00!!! YEAH! No wonder when I got there I saw people leaving with their arms full of stuff!! Happy day...tomorrow one of the high schools is suppose to be having a big rummage sale rain or shine...so I hope that goes well too!

I'm Tired of Seeing it All!

Last week at my favorite thrift, I found all these great finds.

The thrift store seems to have raised their prices too! GGRRRR....Items that were a $1.00, are now $2 or $3. I bought a few books, books seem to do well for me at consignment sales, and I also save them for book lots on ebay. Found some recipe cards, plush toys, a pyrex bowl, and other toys. The cashier rung up my pyrex bowl, books, an ionic breeze, vintage see n say, and a few of the plushes. He gave out a big sigh and said what if I just charge you $2.00 for the rest because I'm tired of seeing it all! I was thinking okay, great, and I also just thought he was talking about the plush toys. I didn't mind since they raised prices. After he bagged the plush toys, he bagged the rest of the toys. Inside I was screaming yeah!! Obviously he was talking about everything he didn't ring up yet. I paid him my total of $17.00, which probably would have been double that without his generous $2.00 charge for everything else. I will make up that $17.00 just by selling the Ionic Breeze and vintage see n say.

Friday I went back, and found this Fisher Price Spin and Bounce Zebra for $5.00. It does sell well on ebay but I am not brave enough to ship big items! Any who......I listed it on craigslist, and within 5 minutes I already received an email from someone saying they wanted to purchase it for my asking price of $20. Yeah! She came when she said she would, so it was an easy peasy transaction on Craigslist!

Hope you found some great deals!

Vintage Finds

Here are some vintage goods I found at the thrift stores the past few weeks.

I love this owl I don't know if he was originally a cookie jar or not. He does hold utensils well, though.

Vintage Fire King cups.

I sold the flower cups for $9.99. Purchased both for a $1.00.

I sold the pear one for $14.50. Paid 75 cents.

I love this eagle. He was $2.00. I may paint him white and keep or sell, don't know yet!

Last but not least, my favorite find was this Butterfly Gold loaf pan!!

Wishing you good treasure finds!

Rummage Sale Finds

This past weekend, another rummage sale was going on! YEAH! You filled a plastic bag for $5.00. I ended up buying 4 bags and one other item.

There was rows and rows of boxes! First I found some plastic teacup toy set, then I found a box filled with Geo Trax. Of course this would be worth it to just fill a bag with these. I was filling my bag, being careful because I didn't want it to bust. Then this lady comes along, and starts taking the trains out. REALLY? I thought that was rude! If someone was getting something from a box, I would wait or ask. SO, at that point I was also just looking for the trains! She eventually left after she commmented, I guess there's no more trains! Okay well, whatever, now I can finish getting the tracks. Here are some completeds on ebay for the Geo Trax.

I also found some vintage Tupperware Tuppertoy stencils. I knew these were good so I grabbed them because I have sold them before. Here are some completed listings.

I also found a box with some CD's. I was going though them and guess who shows up again? Yes, Mrs. Geo Trax Train lady. UUGGHHH...I just grabbed a few I had set aside and moved on. Didn't feel like dealing with her again!

The best buy was this blow up Christmas Nativity. We have wanted one forever but they are expensive, and we always say next year, or what till Christmas is over. This was $5.00, and it works!

I probably could have stayed all day, and found more good stuff, but Mr. Goodjunks and Little Sweetpea had enough treasure hunting. Here's all my junk, I can't believe this was all in 4 bags!!

Have a good day!

Rummage Sale Finds

This past weekend Mr. Goodjunks and I went to a rummage sale, I have been there before and can usually find something worthwhile. My total for everything was $6.00.
I found this frame and old cookbooks

This sweet vintage Strawberry Shortcake Sheet

Mr. Goodjunks found this Better Homes and Gardens Handyman book

Did you know if you don't hang your garden hose, it should be stored in a figure eight? I love the cans as a hose holder. They would be great storage for other garden items as well.

I'm sure you enjoyed all my rummage scores, but here is the best part! The bulk of my $6.00 was $2.50 for this metal headboard.

Isn't she lovely? For now she is behind the roses. I saw a cute idea on Pinterest where someone attached some clay pots to the headboard. That is a possibility!

Have a great day!
